How We Came to Be

Greenhills Christian Fellowship (GCF), under the Conservative Baptist Association of the Philippines (CBAP), was born out of a vision to know Christ and make Him known. It began on February 14, 1978 when 67 people met at the Club Filipino, Greenhills for a Valentine’s Dinner. GCF grew since then and by 1990 was able to relocate to its own building in Ortigas Center, Pasig City.

It was in October 25, 1991, when a handful of GCF leaders and members opened a home Bible study in Parañaque to share Christ in the South of Manila. The group steadily grew so that by 1996, the GCF leadership resolved to birth a church in the South. An all-out GCF effort led to the launching of GCF South Metro on January 19, 1997 in Alabang Hills, Alabang, Muntinlupa.

Since the launch, God has continued our steady growth. By His grace, we were able to move to a bigger facility at the Madrigal Business Park, Alabang, Muntinlupa City in April 2000, allowing us to yet grow some more. Then in March 27, 2005, the Lord enabled us to expand our ministry even more, when we moved to our new home in Daang Hari, Las Piñas City.

In our commitment to know Christ and make Him known we have grown to a regular Sunday worship attendance of close to 1,000 with a Sunday School roster of more than 200.
